Train → test the lowest route → plan the return → take the egg → hatch it at your plot → collect income → upgrade only the system blocking the next run.
Before your first jump
Jump for Animals officially supports desktop, console, mobile and tablet. After joining, identify your plot, the leg-training or Barbell interaction, your Jump Power and cash displays, the first climb, and the hatch area. Exact control labels can differ by platform and have not yet been captured for this build.
Mobile screen layout
Checked mobile footage shows Pets and Eggs on the left, Shop and Index on the right, a movement stick at bottom left and the jump control at bottom right. Desktop and console controls still need their own readable capture. View the HUD at 04:10 .
How training works
A checked desktop recording shows the player inside a training circle lifting a Barbell. The training screen includes a level progress bar, a Stop control and a displayed jump multiplier. Treat the values in that recording as one player state, not universal starter requirements. View training at 07:28 .
First egg walkthrough
- Train at your plot. Use the Barbell system to build Jump Power.
- Test before overtraining. Try the lowest visible route and return to training only when height stops you.
- Study both directions. Find a repeatable path up and back before touching the guarded egg.
- Claim and escape. Take the egg, avoid the giant animal and return it to your plot.
- Hatch and reinvest. Hatch the animal, keep it producing money and spend on the bottleneck blocking your next area.
During a verified mobile return, the bottom action changes to Drop Egg while the player carries a large egg toward the distant Your Base marker. At the plot, a Butterflyfish Egg later shows Ready! and Open. Watch the carry state at 12:29 .
What each system does
| System | Confirmed purpose | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| Jump Power / Barbells | Builds the height needed for higher areas | You cannot reach the next ledge |
| Trails | Jump multipliers from 2x through 16x in captured shops | A larger training multiplier is the current bottleneck |
| Speed Coils | Movement upgrades with captured shop effects | Your return run needs movement help; observed tiers range from +25% to +75% Speed |
| Animals | Earn money, including while offline | Upgrade prices outpace current income |
| Animal Index | Tracks collection progress and gives rewards | You hatch a new animal or pursue collection rewards |

HUD and Index observations
The Animal Index database connects these HUD captures to area progress and reward claims.
| Surface | Platform | Visible UI | Confirmed behavior | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Primary navigation HUD | Mobile | Pets and Eggs on the left; Shop and Index on the right; movement and jump controls at the bottom corners. | The four named menus remain accessible during normal movement. | Gameplay at 04:10 |
| Early HUD snapshot | Gameplay UI | Pets, Eggs, Shop and Index buttons; 25 Jump; $100; an egg-reset countdown. | Jump, cash and reset timing are visible without opening a menu. | Gameplay at 00:20 |
| Animal Index | Gameplay UI | Claimed rewards for 2 Index animals; Meadow 2/8; Coral Reef 4/8. | The Index groups animals by area, tracks eight slots in both visible areas and supports reward claims. | Gameplay at 08:00 |
| Index discovery notification | Gameplay UI | Pony discovered in the Index! | Opening a newly observed animal can trigger an Index discovery notification. | Gameplay at 01:20 |
If you get stuck
- Cannot reach the next platform: train Jump Power, then retest the same route.
- Can reach the egg but cannot return: practice the return path before claiming it and review movement upgrades.
- Cash is slow: keep animal slots productive and target the best reachable verified egg.
- Unsure what comes next: use the badge-backed area order, then verify the route in your current server.
What still needs controlled testing
The public listing does not reveal exact controls, tutorial prompts, the offline-income claim interface or fixed Jump Power requirements. A guardian hit is now confirmed to remove the carried-egg state, but reclaim behavior and countdown failure behavior still need capture.
